Here you will find an alphabetical listing of all indexes and abstracts available through CDL or licensed directly by the UCI Libraries. The most authoritative listing of periodical literature,
book and media reviews, and dissertations in United States and Canadian
history. Covers over 1,700 journals published worldwide.

Periodical Series Online 1740-1900
Includes digitized images of the pages of American magazines
and journals published from colonial days to the dawn of the 20th century.
Published between 1741 and 1900, the more than 1,000 titles include Benjamin
Franklin's General Magazine, the first American professional journals,
and several popular magazines still in publication, such as Vanity Fair,
Harper's,
and Ladies' Home Journal.
PCI: Periodical Contents Index
1770-1995.
An electronic index to the contents of 3,000+ periodicals
in the humanities and social sciences, from their first issues to 1995.
Nineteenth
Century Masterfile. Varies
The largest resource for pre-1920's studies, with
over 6 million citations online. Includes Poole's, William Frederick Poole's
Index to Periodical Literature, which indexes books, newspapers, periodicals
and government documents on the 19th Century. It is a continually expanding
resource for the study of Nineteenth-Century cultural and intellectual
life.

a multilingual, multidisciplinary information published in over 4,200 journals
covering the humanities (67%), social sciences (30%), and economics (3%).
The database is strong in religion, the history of art, psychology, and
literature (with particular emphasis on current trends in European and
world literature). It contains bilingual (English - French) subject descriptors.

Nearly 5,000 publications span news, financial, medical,
and legal information, the vast majority available in full text, with a

several times daily.

An electronic index to the contents of 3,000+ periodicals
in the humanities and social sciences from their first issues to 1995.
Citation Indexes:
Part of Web of Science, multidisciplinary databases covering the journal literature of the arts and humanities, social sciences, and sciences. In addition to keyword topic searching, their unique structure allows you to search for articles that cite a known author or work.

Associates, covers 8,500 scholarly journals in various fields and general
interest periodical titles, and provides bibliographical references to
4,850,000 articles from 1975 to the present. It also includes bibliographic
information for 6,000 reports and thesis in the areas of humanity and social
science published in academic journals from 1945 to the present.

The Handbook of Latin
American Studies/HLAS Online 1935-
Contains citations in the area of Latin American studies
from journals, books, and conferences in the humanities and social sciences
including history.Many citations in the database are annotated.
Hispanic American Periodical
Index/HAPI Online 1970-
Produced by the UCLA Latin American Center, provides
citations about Central and South America, Mexico, the Caribbean basin,
the U.S.-Mexico border region, and Hispanics in the U.S. indexed from articles
and other materials.

Full-text general reference database of the newspapers,
magazines and journals of the ethnic, minority and native press covering

French Studies
ARTFL Project
Project for American and French research on the treasury
of the French language. ARTFL is a cooperative project of the Institut
national de la langue francaise (INaLF) of the Centre national de la recherche
scientifique (CNRS) and the Divisions of the Humanities and Social Sciences
of the University of Chicago. A full-text retrieval database of classical
French writings, the database includes literary works, political tracts,
philosophical writings, and technical treatises.

Contains citations from journal articles, conference
proceedings, books, book reviews, and dissertations in the history of science,
the history of technology, the history of medicine, and allied historical
fields in a variety of languages.
Medieval and Renaissance Studies
